Cayucos Ranch Agrarian

Location: Cayucos, CA

In the heart of the Central Coast, the project site sits on the rolling hills of Cayucos off the historical Highway 1. The site's natural topography provides privacy and a natural sound barrier without obstructing the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. This design pays homage to the Central Coast's roots in agriculture while also embracing the sophistication of modern living.

This home stands at the intersection of rustic charm and contemporary elegance. Anchored in simplicity and elevated by thoughtful design, the exterior features clean lines with a play of textures from the reclaimed vertical siding, clear cedar eaves, and dark bronze metal.

The interior provides an open-concept floor plan with high ceilings, exposed distressed beams, and muted hues grounded in whites and earth tones, a warm and familiar invitation to inhabitants and onlookers alike.

This design focuses on framing views throughout the home with expansive windows and doors on the southern-facing side. The living room and kitchen, a hub for family activity, provide seamless transitions to adjacent outdoor spaces. The bifold slider blurs the indoor/outdoor line, extending an invitation to connect with nature, where experiencing sunrises and sunsets becomes integral to the California living experience. Although this project is in its early stages, we look forward to its debut.
